Who we are

«Anwar & Azzouz» and «Zeina & Abkarino» are free educational games for the Egyptian curriculum (Grade 1 to Prep 1) on anwar-azzouz.com, its grade sites (g1–g6 and prep1.anwar-azzouz.com) and the «Anwar & Azzouz» app on Google Play, made by Laila A. Helmy. Contact: anwarwazzouz@gmail.com.

Stored on the device only

• The name or nickname the child types, boy/girl and the chosen avatar (so the game speaks to them correctly).
• Progress: lessons, stars and rewards, questions answered wrongly (to bring them back) and questions seen recently (to avoid repeats).
• This stays in the browser/app storage on the device and is not sent to us. Clearing the app's or browser's data deletes it.

What is sent to us, and why

• Anonymous statistics: events such as «lesson played» and «right/wrong answer», and the device type (phone/tablet/computer). Each child has a random number created on the device (not their name), so we can count players without knowing who they are. No names or IP addresses are stored.
• Game PIN 🔑 (optional): if a parent creates a PIN, progress is saved on our server under that PIN only, to move it to another device. It can be deleted at any time from the game.
• Friends' challenges and game codes (optional): the nickname a child types for that challenge and their score, visible only to people with the code. Challenges are deleted after 7 days, game rooms after 2 days.
• Question reports and messages (only when «Send» is pressed): the text written, the question number, and an email or phone number if one is given so we can reply. They are also emailed to us. Please don't write the child's name.
• The ideas contest on the website (optional): the details a parent enters in the form and an uploaded drawing, to contact them.

All of this is processed on Cloudflare (Workers and D1). We never sell or share any data.

The «Anwar & Azzouz» app on Google Play

• The app opens the grade games from our own sites, so everything above applies to it exactly.
• No ads, no advertising trackers and no log-in inside the app.
• Links outside the games (the website, email) open in the browser after a grown-up check.
• Microphone permission: only for «Say it like me»; the voice is never recorded to storage or sent.

The website's home page only

The home page anwar-azzouz.com may show Google AdSense ads, and Google may use cookies under its policies. These ads are not in the games or in the app.

Children and your rights

• The games are made for children; we collect as little as possible and never know who a child is.
• To delete anything you sent us (a message, a report, a PIN), email anwarwazzouz@gmail.com and we will delete it. Data on the device is deleted by clearing the app's data or from «Progress» in the game.
• If this policy changes we will update the date above.
